Printer connection Issues

My USB printer is not printing, what can I do to troubleshoot?

  • If you are having issues with your printer, start by try printing a test page or from different applications to confirm that the issue is the printer and not the application.
  • If you have identified that the root cause of the issue is the printer, check the printer cable to confirm that the cable is properly inserted and not loose.
  • If issues continue, check to see if you have another USB cable that you can test with.
  • If issues persist, unplug the USB cable from the computer and delete the printer from the computer. Once this has been finished, plug the printer back in and the printer should automatically reinstall.
  • If you find that issues still continue after this, please reach out to our helpdesk for assistance.

I cannot connect to my network printer.

  • Ensure that the network printer is powered on and properly connected to the network. Verify that the Ethernet cable or wireless connection is secure.
  • Power off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then power it back on. This simple step can often resolve temporary connectivity issues.
  • Check the network connection of the printer. If it's a wired connection, confirm that the Ethernet cable is properly connected. If it's a wireless connection, ensure that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
  • On the printer's control panel, check for any error messages or warnings. Resolve any issues indicated by the printer, such as paper jams, low ink, or other errors.
  • Most network printers allow you to print a network configuration or status page. Review the page for information about the printer's IP address and network settings.
