Restoring Files

I accidentally deleted or modified a file. How do I restore it?

Restoration methods depend on data locality.

If you are attempting to restore a file deleted from OneDrive or SharePoint, you may use the versioning feature to restore previous versions of a file, or the site recycle bin to restore a deleted file. Follow the instructions on Restoring from SharePoint and OneDrive for that.

If you would like to restore a file from a file share, you may attempt using Previous File Versions. Follow the instructions on Restoring from a Fileshare.

I attempted the restore methods above and still cannot see my files. What do I do?
